Toi Toi

Toi Toi— a native New Zealand grass-like plant with tall, slender stems—standing gracefully. As the sunlight fades, the tips of the toi toi are illuminated, causing them to shimmer with a soft, ethereal light. Photograph taken in Canterbury on the back roads in Hororata, by Melissa Sharplin.
