In Copper, a single material becomes the entire statement. Rich, burnished copper stretches across the canvas, its layered surface carrying marks, movement and subtle variations that shift as the light changes throughout the day.

Simple in concept yet powerful in presence, Copper relies on texture rather than imagery. Scraped, worked and imperfect, the surface reveals depth through its irregularities, moving between luminous metallic highlights, warm rose tones and deep oxidised browns. From a distance it reads as one bold field of colour; up close, an intricate landscape of marks begins to emerge.

Created for the ABA Spring 2026 Collection, Copper is simple, elemental and iconic, less an image on the wall than a material presence within the room.

Each Copper work is created individually from scratch rather than reproduced as a print, meaning natural variations in texture, mark-making and finish form part of the character of every piece.
