Original Medium: Reworked canvas print with metallic paint

Created during the 2020 lockdown, Anti Gravity emerged from a period of collective uncertainty and personal free fall.

Inspired by the forms of Scarborough Cliffs and Whitewash Head in Sumner, Christchurch, the collection explores a sense of calm suspension, of being held, rather than falling. Earthy golds, deep greens and blues reference land and sea, while the soft pink carries a personal nostalgia, drawn from the colour of my childhood bedroom.

Grounded in the New Zealand landscape, Anti Gravity is ultimately about finding stillness, connection and elevation in uncertain times.
